Ellie Goldstein is a face of the new Gucci beauty campaign. She becomes the first model with Down’s syndrome to pose for the brand.

The 18-year-old recently shared a photo of herself on Instagram, with a caption "happiest girl." Of course, there's a great reason why she's upbeat.

Goldstein was recently featured in Gucci Beauty's "Unconventional Beauty" campaign. The project promotes emerging talents. It also "promotes the theme of unconventional and non-stereotypical beauty."

In an interview with British Vogue, the model said, "It feels so amazing and fabulous to be part of the Gucci Beauty campaign."

"I feel so proud of myself, especially to have been chosen for this," she added. "When I look at the images, I feel happy with myself, and all the likes and comments on social media across the world have been overwhelming."

The "Unconventional Beauty" project is the culmination of an initiative between Gucci Beauty and Photo Vogue Festival. It was first launched on Instagram in January 2020.

The goal was to choose two photographers who could shoot a digital editorial concentrated on unusual magnificence for Gucci Beauty and Vogue Italia.

More than 6,000 pictures were published on Instagram. The brands then picked David PD Hyde, a famous London photographer, and Catherine Servel, a multidisciplinary artist, to lead the project in February.

In the end, Goldstein, who is signed with Zebedee Management, was chosen to model in the campaign.

Aside from her recent work with Gucci Beauty and Vogue Italia, Goldstein has been featured in campaigns for Vodafone, Superdrug and Nike.

Goldstein intends to keep breaking down barriers. She also plans to promote awareness of and representation for individuals with disabilities with her work.
