Filipino-American actor Tony Labrusca, who was part of the hit horror-fantasy drama series "La Luna Sangre," recently discussed the rumors that he is gay.

On September 23, the 25-year-old uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, in which he can be seen reacting to comments claiming he's not honest when it comes to his sexuality.

Labrusca, the son of Filipino actor Boom Labrusca and Filipina singer Angel Jones, admitted that he's disappointed over these rumors.

He explained that this simply means people prefer to talk about his sexuality than his capacities as an actor.

"It makes me feel like no amount of work or accomplishments that I've done —I feel it gets undermined," said Labrusca.

However, the actor added that at the same time, he also loves when people make these assumptions about him because it also means they are interested in him.

Labrusca then said, "I don't identify myself as homosexual. But I don't think that matters anymore. Even if I said I wasn't gay, the people who think I am gay are going to keep on believing that I'm gay."

"There is nothing I can do that would change their mind because they think that I dated this person, or they think that I had sex with this person because this tabloid said that," he added. "So, that's out of my control, you know what I mean? Let's say, if I did say I was gay, some people still wouldn't believe me, or some people would still hate me."

Labrusca went on to say that people would say he's doing it for attention, or they'll say his "queerbaiting." The actor concluded by saying that his point is, "whatever I say, whatever I do, whatever I identify as, it doesn't matter. There are still gonna be people that hate me, because I'm me."

Labrusca joined the Filipino reality search "Pinoy Boyband Superstar" in 2016. However, he failed to reach the grand finals. After that, he starred in several television series and films.
