On Monday, Britney Spears's younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears said she was proud of what the pop singer shared about her experience under conservatorship and supports whatever Britney needs to be happy.

Jamie Lynn, in an Instagram video, said she felt she was now allowed to speak publicly about the case because her sister had already testified at the trial.

"Since the day I was born, I've only loved, adored, and supported my sister," Jamie Lynn said.

"I'm so proud of her for using her voice," she shared, adding that "I am only concerned about her happiness" and "have nothing to gain or lose either way."

A Los Angeles judge heard Britney's recent complaint that the conservatorship was abusive and that she had been prevented from taking out a contraceptive device so she could have a child.

"I don't care if she wants to run away to a rain forest and have a zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world," Jamie Lynn said.

The "Sweet Magnolias" star also said that she would be supportive of Britney breaking free of conservatorship, flying to Mars, and whatever else she wants.

Britney's legal arrangement began in 2008 after she suffered a mental breakdown. The following year, she made a comeback, released new albums, and continued to perform until late 2018.

The singer began legal action in 2020 to prevent her father, Jamie Spears, from running her personal affairs, such as who visits her secluded villa. Her finances are also overseen by Jamie.
