Joshua opened up in an interview with GQ about his hospitalization earlier this year, in which he revealed he initially thought his illness was food poisoning, but it was much more serious than he had expected.
On January 14, the same day that his single, "Lie Lie Lie," was released, Joshua was admitted to a hospital after experiencing unbearable pain.
Despite not going into specifics about what caused the septic shock, the 20-year-old actor did say that stress may have played a part.
Joshua recalled the doctors telling him he had a 30% chance of survival after his diagnosis.
