In honor of Meghan Markle's 40th birthday on Wednesday, Beyoncé posted a tribute to the Duchess of Sussex on her website.

The pop superstar shared a childhood photograph of Meghan alongside a simple wish: "Happy Birthday Meghan Markle."

Beyoncé's appreciation for Meghan was publicly expressed during her and her husband Jay-Z's acceptance speech at the 2019 Brit Awards.

In an acceptance video message, the couple recreated their music video for their hit song "APES-." As an alternative to Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," they posed before a portrait of Meghan.

At the July 2019 London premiere of "The Lion King" remake, Beyoncé and Meghan stood face-to-face.
