A report from agency Awesome ENT indicated that Park Seo-joon left South Korea on Friday to begin working on Marvel Studios’ new superhero movie.

In July, IMDb posted Park's profile and picture identifying him as part of the cast of the sequel to "Captain Marvel," officially titled "The Marvels."

Filming for the sequel is set to begin this year under the direction of Nia DaCosta.

However, the agency did not divulge other information, including the title of the film or the dates and locations of Park's filming, saying only that it would be announced in the future.

Having starred in several hit television series like "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" and "Itaewon Class," Park has earned a wide reputation among fans of Korean dramas.
