Britney Spears' Conservatorship Ends After Judge's Court Approval

Britney Spears is no longer under conservatorship. Her life has been governed by it for nearly 14 years.

The Princess of Pop made it known over the summer that she wanted to exit the legal situation she had been in for over a decade.

On Friday, the Los Angeles County Judge, Brenda Penny, finally approved Jamie Spears' request to end Britney's conservatorship.

Judge Penny said, "The court finds and determines that the conservatorship of the person and the estate is no longer required therefore effective today…it's hereby terminated."
