Legendary Rapper MF DOOM Dead at 49, Family Confirms

Daniel Dumile, who released music under several stage names, most notably MF DOOM, has died at 49 years old, his family confirmed in a statement on December 31.

Jasmine, MF DOOM's wife, announced on Instagram that her husband passed away on October 31. No cause of death has been revealed.



"To Dumile," Jasmine wrote. "The greatest husband, father, teacher, student, business partner, lover and friend I could ever ask for. Thank you for all the things you have shown, taught and given to me, our children and our family. Thank you for teaching me how to forgive beings and give another chance, not to be so quick to judge and write off."

"Thank you for showing how not to be afraid to love and be the best person I could ever be," she added. "My world will never be the same without you. Words will never express what you and [the couple's son] Malachi mean to me, I love both and adore you always. May THE ALL continue to bless you, our family and the planet. All my Love, Jasmine."



According to the Page Six report, the couple's son, King Malachi Ezekiel Dumile, passed away in 2017 at the age of 14. Meanwhile, In 2009, MF DOOM dropped his last solo album "Born Like This."
