Charles Polevich Who Allegedly Killed Nicki Minaj’s Father In Hit-And-Run Arrested


On February 12, at about 6:15 p.m. in Mineola, Long Island, Robert Maraj was struck by a white Volvo station wagon while he was walking northbound on Rosslyn Road.

Charles Polevich has been arrested for allegedly killing Nicki Minaj‘s father Robert Maraj in a hit-and-run.

Nassau County Police said Charles Polevich, 71, turned himself into them during a news conference on February 17.

On February 12, at about 6:15 p.m. in Mineola, Long Island, Robert Maraj was struck by a white Volvo station wagon while he was walking northbound on Rosslyn Road. After initially stopping, Polevich keeps going.



On February 13, Maraj died from his injuries after being taken to the hospital. Through the use of video evidence, police tracked the vehicle that struck the rapper's father.

A charge of leaving the scene of an auto accident has now been filed against Polevich, along with tampering with evidence.
