A request for round-the-clock security to be provided to Britney Spears' personal conservator Jodi Montgomery has been rejected by Jamie Spears, who says it would be costly for his daughter's estate.

After Britney's demand for a stop to what she characterized as her abusive conservatorship during a shocking court hearing on June 23, Jodi argued she should be permitted to hire 24/7 protection based on threats of violence and death she received from die-hard fans.

For the extra security, the bill is estimated to be about $50,000 per month until a proper renovation can be made to her home and office.

Jamie, however, challenged the motion, stating that not only he but also his daughter's former conservatorship lawyer Sam Ingham, as well as others involved in the matter, have been receiving threats like this for years.

Britney's sole conservator, Jamie, stated that authorizing Jodi's request could lead to other individuals seeking the same protection.

The estate would not be able to afford to cover multiple individuals' fees over an extended period, he pointed out.

In his opinion, the judge should instead determine precisely how much security is required to protect Jodi. Currently, no ruling has been reached.
