The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights' Just Breaks Imagine Dragons' Record


The song, now in its 88th week at No. 18, topped the chart for the first of four weeks in April 2020.

On the chart dated August 21, The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" reached a record-breaking 88th week on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song surpassed Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive," which spent 87 weeks on the chart between 2012 and 2014.

Released through XO/Republic Records, "Blinding Lights" debuted No. 11 on the Hot 100 for the week of December 14, 2019.



The song, now in its 88th week at No. 18, topped the chart for the first of four weeks in April 2020.

As a result of its lengthy chart run, the song has rewritten records for time spent in the Hot 100 top five (43 weeks), top 10 (57 weeks), top 20 (79 weeks), and top 40 (84 weeks), according to Billboard.
