Nicki Minaj Announces She Won't Be Performing At 2021 MTV VMAs

Fans of Nicki Minaj were hoping the rapper would perform live at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, but that wish will not come true.

Nicki just announced that she won't be performing live on stage this Sunday. She shared the news on Twitter in response to a fan who asked if she'd be there.

The star-studded event is scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

"I just pulled out," she tweeted. "I'll explain why another day. But I love those guys at MTV. thank you [VMAs producer] Bruce [Gilmore]. I love you so much. Next year we there baby."

Nicki refused to elaborate on what led to her decision.

However, the same day, her husband Kenneth Petty reportedly pleaded guilty to failing to file as a sex offender in California.
