Usher Says New Album Will Be Out This Year


While Usher refused to specify a release date, he did confirm that an album would also drop this year after it was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fans of Usher have been waiting for the follow-up to his 2016 solo studio album "Hard II Love" for almost six years.

However, based on a recent interview, it appears the wait for his highly anticipated follow-up is soon coming to an end.

Usher has begun promoting his forthcoming Vegas residency ahead of its official debut on July 15. 

Recent stops included an interview with PEOPLE magazine.


The singer revealed not only details about his second Vegas residency but also information about his new music.

"By the time we are live in July, you will have heard new music," he said.

"My plan is to get back to servicing music the way that we did before."

While Usher refused to specify a release date, he did confirm that an album would also drop this year after it was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
