Katie Price has described the traumatic events that led to her reaching breaking point and seeking treatment for PTSD.

In an emotional interview ahead of her harrowing documentary "Trauma And Me," the media personality revealed she had been raped during a carjacking in South Africa in 2018.

As Katie described in an interview with MailOnline, she was held at gunpoint while filming "My Crazy Life," her Quest Red reality show.

After suffering a mental breakdown, she attempted suicide, and then sought treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

"The experience when I was filming with ITV in South Africa, we had no security, if we had security they would have been able to deal with the six guys that jumped us, held me at gunpoint and raped me," Katie explained.

During her journey from Johannesburg to Swaziland with the production crew, Katie was thrown out of the vehicle by her attackers, who were never apprehended.
