After an elapsed time of nearly seven years since BLACKPINK's official introduction, Jisoo has finally made her debut as a solo artist with the release of her two-song project "ME."

Prior to the release of the project, a series of promotional materials were shared, including two visual films on March 15 and March 21, a poster showcasing the tracklist and song credits for "ME" on March 27, and a high-fashion music video teaser for the lead single "Flower" on March 28. The full project was made available to pop music enthusiasts worldwide after two weeks of anticipation.

The first track, "Flower," presents a subtle yet impactful blend of violin plucks and snappy, trappy production that highlights Jisoo's vocals. Her emotional warbles and passionate runs are reminiscent of her best vocal moments in BLACKPINK records, and the pitched-up vocal sequence in the latter part of the track is expected to be a notable earworm in 2023.

The second track, "All Eyes on Me," showcases Jisoo's affinity for robust dance-pop records, which fans witnessed firsthand during their In Your Area world tour with her cover of Zedd and Foxes' "Clarity." Jisoo commands listeners to "Make me feel alive" before demanding "All eyes on me" amid a stomping synth-pop dance breakdown.

In addition to the release of "ME" at midnight on March 31, the official music video for "Flower" premiered on BLACKPINK's YouTube channel. With the release of Jisoo's solo record, all four members of BLACKPINK have now achieved chart-topping success as solo artists.
