College Student Passes Away After Falling From Balcony in Mexico

A tragic incident occurred in Mexico during the spring break, where Henry Meacock, a 19-year-old Ohio State University student, reportedly fell from a hotel balcony and passed away on March 15.

Meacock, who was pursuing a finance degree, was remembered by his university's spokesperson as a bright student with a promising future. The Ohio State community expressed their heartfelt condolences to Meacock's family and friends.

As per the New York Post, the incident took place at the Melia Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, where Meacock allegedly fell from the third floor. The hotel has yet to respond to the incident.


The Jalisco state attorney general and medical examiner shared their report, stating that Meacock had attempted to jump from balcony to balcony, and the fall was unintentional.

Meacock was a kind-hearted person and cherished by his loved ones. He was born in England and later moved to the United States, where he attended Westfield High School in New Jersey. His former golf team expressed their grief over the incident, praising his positive attitude and love for the sport.

Meacock's funeral took place at Saint Helen Roman Catholic Church in Westfield. Ohio State University has extended counseling services to students and employees affected by Meacock's untimely death.

Threes Above High, a bar near Ohio State University, announced a fundraiser to support Meacock's family, with all profits going to them.
