A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated by Kenzie Riccardi with the intention of raising funds for Anna Buhrmann.

Kenzie has introduced herself as the best friend of Anna, who is a 19-year-old Division 1 Field Hockey player from Germany currently studying at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.

Recently, while skiing with Kenzie and their friend Aly at Copper Mountain during their spring break, Anna had an unfortunate accident where she crashed into a tree.

Due to the impact, Anna had to be airlifted to Denver via Flight For Life and underwent a 7-hour long emergency spine surgery.

The surgery revealed that Anna had snapped her C6 and C7 vertebrae, and the injury had caused a complete spinal cord severance, leading to permanent paralysis below her shoulders.

Despite the traumatic incident, Anna has been bravely facing the situation with a smile on her face, while her family is still in Germany.

The campaign aims to raise funds to cover several expenses related to Anna's medical treatment, such as the cost of Flight For Life, surgery, her parents' travel expenses to the US, rehabilitation, and other necessary accommodations that she will require.

Kenzie has requested people to come forward and support Anna in any way they can, as any amount donated can make a significant difference in her life.

The message ends with a note of gratitude for the kindness of the donors. Here's the link to the donation page for those who are willing to contribute.
