It has been reported that Jimin, a member of the K-pop supergroup BTS, has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first South Korean solo artist to attain the number one position on the US songs chart with his hit single, "Like Crazy."

The achievement was based on the song's sales, streaming, and radio airplay, as recognized by the esteemed Billboard Hot 100 list. The sultry slow jam made its debut in the top spot this week.

Following the announcement, the artist expressed his excitement and gratitude on Instagram, where he enjoys a massive following of 49 million fans.

BTS, who were the first South Korean act to top the Billboard charts in 2020, are regarded as torchbearers of K-Pop music in the United States, having scored six number one hits, including "Dynamite" and "Butter."

Jimin's success with "Like Crazy" highlights the group's enduring global popularity, according to industry observers. Last year, BTS took a hiatus to rest and pursue solo endeavors, while also fulfilling their military service obligations.

According to IFPI, a leading industry tracker, BTS was the second best-selling artist in the world in 2021, trailing only Taylor Swift. The band also topped the list in the previous year with a major album release.
