John Cena Joins Full Cast of Upcoming Live-Action 'Barbie' Film

The confirmation has been made that John Cena will be playing a role in the new "Barbie" film. The full cast of the live-action film, based on the iconic toy doll, has been revealed in a new trailer.

Along with Margot Robbie, who will play the titular character, and Ryan Gosling, who will play Ken, the 45-year-old WWE star and actor will also be featured in the movie.

In addition, Dua Lipa, a pop star, has been unveiled as Mermaid Barbie in a promo video. It was previously reported that the wrestler would play Dua's love interest in the film.

The cast includes Hollywood legend Will Ferrell, "Sex Education" star Emma Mackey, "Bridgerton" actress Nicola Coughlan, the incoming "Doctor Who" Ncuti Gatwa, and Marvel star Simu Liu.

The film is produced by LuckyChap Entertainment, Margot Robbie's production company, which secured the rights to the story for the movie. The project is helmed by Greta Gerwig, the "Lady Bird" director, who was Robbie's first choice for the position.

Margot Robbie has been working on the film for around four or five years and said that it is a LuckyChap project. She also confirmed that there will be some dream houses in the movie.

The "Barbie" film is scheduled to be released on July 21. According to reports, filming has been progressing well, and there are not many scenes left to shoot.
