Nicki Minaj recently shared some insight into how she approaches collaboration requests from other artists.

The rapper disclosed that she takes her time in deciding whether or not to accept a feature request, as she wants her creative process to flow naturally.

She stated that she sleeps on it for a few weeks or even months before deciding, allowing the universe to guide her decision.

Once she feels inspired, she lays down a few references with different flows, sleeps on it some more, and then ultimately makes a decision. She then waits for her fans' approval before releasing the final product.

Nicki Minaj has an extensive list of successful collaborations to her name, including Lil Wayne, Drake, DJ Khaled, Pop Smoke, Doja Cat, Young Thug, and Post Malone.

One of her most recent features was on the remix of "Princess Diana" with Ice Spice, which has been a massive success, topping the Hot Rap Song chart and outselling the entire Top 25 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

The song has been downloaded 77,000 times, making it the best sales week for any rap song since Nicki Minaj released "Super Freaky Girl" in 2022.

With this accomplishment, Nicki has extended her record as the female rapper with the most Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 chart, and now has the most No.1 hits on the Digital Song Sales chart, surpassing Drake's record of 13.
