R&B/pop star SZA has reached a significant career milestone with her chart-topping hit "Kill Bill". After spending a total of 18 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the track finally reached the top spot on the chart dated April 29.

The achievement marks SZA's first-ever Hot 100 No. 1, and she took to Twitter to express her gratitude to her fans, writing, "took me over a week to process cause I dreamt of this my entire career...Every person, every fan base, every ear that listened and pushed for me. Can't believe we have a number 1 record."

Although "Kill Bill" has since been surpassed by Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" on the Hot 100, it continues to break records elsewhere.

The song recently became the longest-running No. 1 by a woman in a lead role on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, surpassing Mary J. Blige's previous record of 15 weeks at the top of the list.

The success of "Kill Bill" can be attributed in part to a remix featuring Doja Cat, which was released on April 14 and helped to boost the song's radio airplay audience impressions, streams, and sales.

Despite the remix not accounting for the majority of the song's overall consumption during the tracking week, SZA remains grateful for the support that her fans and listeners have shown her throughout her career.
