A 48-year-old Mississippi man, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, has been charged with felony stalking and vandalism after crashing his vehicle into the front gate of actress Jennifer Aniston’s Bel-Air home on May 5, 2025.
Aniston was reportedly at home during the incident but was unharmed.
Carwyle was detained at gunpoint by Aniston’s private security until police arrived. Investigators revealed that Carwyle had been harassing Aniston through voicemails, emails, and social media since 2023.
Disturbing Facebook posts allegedly referred to Aniston as his “bride,” and a post from September 2024 threatened that he would come looking for her.
Carwyle, who had been living out of his car in Burbank after relocating from Mississippi, is currently held in L.A. County jail with bail set at $150,000.
If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison.
This incident underscores the persistent issue of celebrity stalking and raises questions about the effectiveness of current protective measures.
