SZA Condemns Tory Lanez Supporters: 'Bullying a Woman Proven to Be a Victim of Assault' Is 'Stupid OUTLOUD'

In a powerful statement on social media, Grammy-winning artist SZA has publicly condemned the ongoing harassment faced by Megan Thee Stallion from supporters of convicted rapper Tory Lanez.

Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after being found guilty of shooting Megan in July 2020.

SZA expressed her disbelief and outrage over the situation, stating, "I'm actually SO shocked at the amount of ppl fully comfortable bullying a woman that's proven to be a victim of assault ??! Like out loud where other ppl can see you ?? Lmao u finna be stupid OUTLOUD ?"

Her comments highlight the disturbing trend of victim-blaming and online harassment that has plagued Megan since the incident.

Despite a jury convicting Lanez on three felony charges—including assault with a semiautomatic firearm and grossly negligent discharge of a weapon—Megan has continued to face public scrutiny and doubt.

This latest wave of support from SZA adds to a growing list of artists and public figures who have rallied behind Megan.

Following the trial, Soulja Boy also voiced his support, calling out the rap community for not standing up for Megan sooner.

He criticized those who remained silent or defended Lanez, stating, “Y’all ns out here shooting bes now? And ain’t nobody saying nothing? I’m the only n**** in the whole rap game that’s gonna say something? Okay, cool. Well, f*** you, Tory Lanez, you a b****.”

Megan has been open about the emotional toll the ordeal has taken on her.

In a recent TikTok post, she shared her frustration over the continuous harassment and misinformation, emphasizing that there is no new evidence to support claims of Lanez's innocence.

She also highlighted the psychological impact, revealing that the situation has led her to experience deep depression and suicidal thoughts.

The extension of Megan's restraining order against Lanez until 2030 underscores the severity of the harassment she continues to endure.

A Los Angeles judge granted the extension after Megan testified that Lanez has been using third parties to intimidate and discredit her.

The judge found sufficient evidence to support her claims, emphasizing the need for ongoing protection.

As the legal battles continue, the support from fellow artists like SZA and Soulja Boy plays a crucial role in amplifying Megan's voice and standing against the culture of misogynoir that often silences Black women.
