Nicki Minaj Unleashes Fury on Jay-Z: 'You Destroyed Our Culture & Owe Me Millions!'

In an explosive series of social media posts that have sent shockwaves through the music industry, rap superstar Nicki Minaj has launched a scathing attack on Jay-Z and his Roc Nation empire, declaring, "You ruined hip-hop!"

The fiery outburst, which unfolded on X (formerly Twitter) this week, saw Minaj not only accuse the legendary mogul of orchestrating the downfall of the genre but also demand a staggering $100-200 million, which she refers to as "karmic debt."

The core of Minaj's latest tirade appears to stem from long-standing grievances related to the Tidal streaming platform. Minaj was among the high-profile artists who joined Jay-Z's Tidal initiative in 2015, reportedly receiving a 3% equity stake in exchange for exclusive content and promotion.

However, when Jay-Z sold a majority stake of Tidal to Jack Dorsey's Square (now Block, Inc.) for over $300 million in 2021, Minaj claims she never received her fair share of the proceeds, alleging she was only offered a mere $1 million to keep quiet.

"We've calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It's only collecting more interest. You still in my TOP 5 tho. Let's get it ni***," Minaj tweeted, adding a provocative warning, "And anyone still calling him Hov will answer to God for the blasphemy."

She further stated her intention to use some of the disputed funds to pay for her fans' college tuition and student loans through her "Student of the Game" charity.

Minaj's rant also targeted Roc Nation executive Desiree Perez, accusing her and Jay-Z of various alleged "evil" acts, including manipulating the industry and creating a hostile environment.

This isn't the first time Minaj has voiced her frustrations with Roc Nation, having hinted at deeper issues surrounding artist management and perceived suppression of her music.

She also referenced Jay-Z's influence over the NFL's Super Bowl Halftime Show selections, implying that Lil Wayne was unfairly overlooked.

Jay-Z, Roc Nation, and Tidal have yet to issue a public response to Minaj's explosive allegations, maintaining their characteristic silence amidst the escalating controversy.

The internet, however, is ablaze with fan reactions, debates, and speculation regarding the truth behind these claims and what this high-stakes feud could mean for the future of hip-hop's biggest names.
