The actor shared the "gruesome" story during an appearance on Jake Shane's Therapuss podcast.
Powell recounted an ill-fated date where, in an attempt to look cool, he tried to do a move he described as "skateboard parkour," jumping off something and spinning.
"I was doing skateboard parkour, didn't realize [my date] had followed behind me and I spun and I knocked her. I elbowed her in the face and I broke her nose," Powell explained on the podcast.
He went on to describe the immediate aftermath, noting her face got "puffy" and she was "bleeding out."
Powell admitted the injury brought the budding romance to an abrupt halt, humorously claiming it "really summed up my love life for the next like while."
