Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Fame: "I've Been a Lightning Rod for Negativity"

Superstar Jennifer Lopez is getting real about the ups and downs of being famous for over 30 years.

In a new interview for the Los Angeles Times, J.Lo shared that she has always dealt with both big wins and a lot of mean comments.

"From the very beginning, for whatever reason, I've been a lightning rod for nice things and a lot of negativity," she said.

She explained that it can be hard when people don't truly understand who she is.

However, she says her parents helped her have a "strong sense of self" from a young age.

To get through the hard times, she focuses on being a good person, working hard, and being a good mom to her kids.

After a busy year and a public divorce, Jennifer says she is now changing how she lives.

She wants to keep her personal life much more private to protect herself and her family from the "outside noise."

Do you think it's fair for the public to focus so much on a celebrity's private life?
