Pop music royalty is back on top of the charts. Beyoncé’s hit sophomore album, B'Day, has officially re-entered the Billboard 200 chart at number eight.
This major chart comeback comes after a massive wave of celebration for the album's twentieth anniversary. Fans old and new rushed to stream and buy the record, pushing the total to 38,000 equivalent album units during the tracking week.
The project originally dropped back in September 2006. During that first week two decades ago, it made a huge splash by debuting straight at number one with over 541,000 copies sold.
To celebrate the big milestone, a special expanded 27-track edition of the album was released on her birthday. This new version includes rare bonus tracks, Spanish-language versions, and a fresh song called "Morning Dew (Donk)".
Longtime supporters quickly showed that timeless music never fades away. Streams shot up by hundreds of percents, proving that tracks like "Irreplaceable" and "Déjà Vu" still hold a very special place in pop culture today.
Seeing a classic record climb back into the top ten two whole years after its birth proves that Queen Bey's legacy is truly unmatched.
