Ne-Yo Explains Why He Does Not Want Beyoncé Level Fame

R&B singer Ne-Yo recently opened up about his career and explained why he has zero interest in reaching the massive, global celebrity status of stars like Beyoncé or Jay-Z.

During a recent podcast interview, the "So Sick" singer talked about how people often tell him he should have been even bigger in the music industry. However, he is completely happy with the exact spot he holds right now.

Ne-Yo pointed out that mega-stars live a very different life where basic everyday tasks become almost impossible. Going to a grocery store or a movie theater for someone like Beyoncé requires heavy security, advance planning, and constant attention.

Instead of dealing with that level of extreme pressure, the veteran artist loves the freedom he currently has. He explained that he can easily perform in front of massive crowds and then enjoy a normal day off without any trouble.

To put it best, Ne-Yo shared a funny and simple way he looks at his life. He loves that he can sell out a huge arena on a Monday and then walk into a local Target to buy underwear by himself on a Tuesday.

The talented star is currently celebrating twenty years since his debut album dropped. Over the years, he has written massive hits for himself and other pop icons, proving he has left a permanent mark on music without needing ultra-fame.
