Pop Princess Britney Spears released her debut single "...Baby One More Time" on October 23, 1998. The track is the lead single off her debut album of the same name.

Written and produced by Max Martin and Rami as co-producer, "...Baby One More Time" was originally written for Backstreet Boys and TLC under the title "Hit Me Baby One More Time." However, both groups rejected it.

Meanwhile, Spears immediately liked the song when she heard it and wanted it to be hers. She then recorded the track, and upon its release, "...Baby One More Time" topped the charts in over twenty countries worldwide, including the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart.

The song, which is one of the best selling singles of all time, earned Spears two MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Pop and Best Song. In 1999, she won the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Single and a Billboard Music Award for Female Singles Artist of the Year.
