Shawn Mendes released a new song and accompanying video for "Wonder" on October 2. The song is the title track of his upcoming fourth studio album, due December 4.

The 22-year-old is lost in a sea of thoughts on "Wonder." He sings, "I wonder if I'm being real / Do I speak my truth or do I filter how I feel? / I wonder, wouldn't it be nice / To live inside a world that isn't black and white?"

Afterward, Mendes dives further into self-assessment, singing, "I wonder why I'm so afraid / Of saying something wrong, I never said I was a saint / I wonder, when I cry into my hands / I'm conditioned to feel like it makes me less of a man."

"I wonder what it's like to be loved by you," he continues. In the video, Mendes takes a train ride, goes through the woodland, and approaches a cliff's edge. Along the way, the singer can be seen in the video busting a few dance moves.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Mendes said of his upcoming album: "It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I've ever been."

"It's a world and a journey and a dream and an album I've been wanting to make for a really long time. I absolutely love it," he added. "Thank you for being by my side for so many years. I love you all so much."

"Wonder" will be the most recent in a series of projects by the singer. His three previous number one albums are certified platinum. Mendes also has four songs on Spotify that have been streamed over a billion.
