The Duchess of Cambridge is eager to get to know her new niece, Lilibet Diana.

Kate Middleton recently toured a school with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, and a reporter asked her about the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's daughter, Lilibet Diana.

"I wish her all the very best," the wife of Prince William said. "I can't wait to meet her because haven't yet met her. So hopefully that will be soon."

Following up, the reporter asked Kate whether she had gone on a video chat with the infant. To which she replied, "No, I haven't."

Kate and William joined other royal members over the weekend to welcome their new addition.

The couple took to their official Instagram page to share a black-and-white shot of Meghan during her pregnancy with Harry and her son Archie. They said:

We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.

Meanwhile, Lilibet Diana has already met her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, via video call.
