Harry Styles' 'As It Was' Ties The Record Set By Elton John's 1997 Hit

Harry Styles' megahit single "As It Was" has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the last 14 weeks.

With its 12th week at the top of the chart, the song became the longest-running solo male #1 single of this decade.

Last week, it had its 13th print at the top, making it the longest-running solo male song of the century. Now, the hit is aiming for the all-time record.

According to the updated Billboard Hot 100 published on Monday (September 19), "As It Was" remains at the top.

Besides helping Harry to his 14th week at #1, the song also tied him with Elton John's 1997 classic "Candle in the Wind" for the longest tenure at the top of the chart among solo males.
