According to Sam Smith, they attended Lady Gaga's successful Chromatica Ball tour.
A recent interview where the singer was also promoting their latest single "Unholy" brought up their previous admission that Lady Gaga's career helped them move to London.

"Oh, yes! I am a huge fan of Gaga," Sam said. "Gaga, when I was 16 was my everything. Fame Monster, bunked school, queued overnight, did the whole thing."
Later, the interviewer asked Sam if they had seen Lady Gaga during her recent Chromatica stadium tour. To which the singer revealed that they went to her show in London.

"Obsessed. It was absolutely stunning," Sam said, adding that the experience was "very emotional."
"Just seeing people in a stadium again is just so magical," they added. "And she's amazing."
On September 23, Sam performed at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival. The star sang some of their biggest hits.
