Joe Jonas Reveals He Once Auditioned For 'Spider-Man' Role

A number of actors jumped at the chance to play Peter Parker, including Joe Jonas!

In an interview with "Just for Variety" podcast, the singer revealed that he auditioned for the lead role in Marc Webb's 2012 hit "The Amazing Spider-Man."

Ultimately, Andrew Garfield won the role, who also appeared in the 2014 sequel with Emma Stone.

Speaking about not being cast after auditioning, Joe said, "In the moment, you're destroyed or you're defeated. But you realize this person was brilliant."

"I remember years ago I was up for Spider-Man and I was so, so excited and it was the year Andrew Garfield got it. Obviously, he was the right one," he added.

Putting himself out there and having to prove himself has been Joe's favorite part of the audition process, the star shared.
