Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou has left the organization following issues with pay.

In the main event of UFC 270, Ngannou successfully defended his title against Ciryl Gane.

However, he later revealed dissatisfaction with his pay and expressed interest in moving to boxing for better compensation.

Ngannou even claimed to have turned down a $7 million offer to negotiate for a better contract.

Despite former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson believing Ngannou could make a great payday in boxing, Ngannou's status with the UFC remained in question.

Ariel Helwani reported on Twitter that Ngannou is no longer part of the UFC and the heavyweight championship is now vacant.

UFC President Dana White also stated that they offered Ngannou a historic deal that would have made him the highest paid heavyweight ever, but he turned it down.

The CEO of Bellator has previously expressed interest in signing Ngannou, and it remains to be seen if he will join the organization now that he is a free agent.
