Georgia Woman Arrested for Allegedly Killing Husband During a Quarrel

A woman from Georgia reportedly took the life of her husband during a quarrel that was being live-streamed on Facebook.

The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) issued a statement confirming that Kadejah Michelle Brown, 28 years old, was taken into custody by deputies on Saturday following a report of domestic violence.

According to the statement, Brown was charged with murder after fatally shooting the male victim, identified by Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant as 28-year-old Jeremy Brown.

Sheriff Eddie Hawkins also confirmed that Jeremy was Kadejah's spouse. The LCSO's statement described how the couple had an argument inside their home that turned violent and was broadcasted on Facebook Live.

"The phone had been thrown down, and then you heard the shot," Sheriff Hawkins reported, according to The Dispatch.

Authorities discovered a 9mm handgun and other possible evidence at the scene, where Jeremy was pronounced dead.

Kadejah is currently being detained at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center awaiting her first court appearance, and no bail has been set as yet.

Sheriff Hawkins stated that there had been previous reports of domestic violence between Brown and the victim, and he expressed his condolences to the victim's family.

Finally, he noted that they hoped the criminal justice system would hold Brown accountable for this tragic and senseless murder.
