Prince William has expressed his belief that his late mother, Princess Diana, would have been disappointed by the lack of progress in addressing homelessness.

Diana had introduced William and his brother, Prince Harry, to the issue by taking them to visit homeless shelters.

William, who has been a vocal advocate for the cause, has said that he feels his mother would have been frustrated that more headway has not been made in tackling homelessness.

The prince's comments were made in a video produced by Comic Relief, which will be broadcast during a telethon on Friday.

In the video, William is seen visiting a charity called Groundswell and recording a podcast as part of the charity's Listen Up! Project.

During his visit, the Prince of Wales met with two individuals who had been helped by the charity, Nawshin and Miles.

William has long been committed to addressing homelessness and has adopted two charities, Centrepoint and The Passage, both of which his mother had also supported during her lifetime.
