Veteran actress Sharon Stone has weighed in on the controversial casting of reality TV star Kim Kardashian in the upcoming season 12 of "American Horror Story". Stone expressed her opinion on the matter in response to an Instagram post discussing actress Patti LuPone's criticism of Kardashian's new role.

Acting Requires Dedication

Stone defended the craft of acting, saying, "It may not be brain surgery but we do treasure our art." She emphasized the hard work and dedication that actors put into their profession, saying, "We studied, we suffered, we do suffer for it. Ten thousand hours; it's a thing."

LuPone's Criticism

LuPone had criticized Kardashian's casting during her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen", saying that the role should have gone to "actors" instead. She also referenced the 1935 Noel Coward song "Mrs. Worthington" in which the singer discourages a stage mom from allowing her daughter to pursue a stage career. Actor John Leguizamo also expressed similar sentiments on the show.

Kim Kardashian's Role in "Delicate"

Kardashian had announced earlier this month that she will star in "Delicate", the newest installment of the "American Horror Story" anthology series, alongside Emma Roberts. The show's co-creator Ryan Murphy praised Kardashian's star power and expressed excitement about collaborating with her. It was also revealed that Kardashian has a lead role in the new season.
