Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Opens Up About Past Battles with Depression

Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” has spoken out about his struggles with depression during his recent appearance on “The Pivot podcast.”

The actor revealed that he first experienced depression while studying at the University of Miami, after sustaining an injury that prevented him from playing on the football team.

Johnson shared that he was unaware of what mental health or depression were at that time. The star also revealed that he went through bouts of depression again during his divorce and around 2017.


However, he was able to manage his mental health struggles by finding emotional tools to cope with them and by reaching out to his friends and loved ones for support.

Johnson emphasized the importance of seeking help when going through mental health struggles and encouraging men to speak up about their mental health.

In the end, he stressed that talking to someone is the key to overcome the pain and that nobody is ever alone.
