Legendary actress Meryl Streep and her husband, sculptor Don Gummer, have officially ended their 45-year-long marriage.

Recent reports confirm that the couple, who tied the knot in 1978, separated over six years ago, as revealed by an insider to Page Six.

A spokesperson for the Academy Award winner confirmed the news, stating, "Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than 6 years. While they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart."

The decision marks the end of a relationship that lasted for decades, characterized by mutual respect and admiration.

The couple was last seen together at the Academy Awards in 2018, a rare public appearance amid their private separation.

Streep and Gummer are parents to four children: son Henry Wolfe, and three daughters, Mamie Gummer, Grace Gummer, and Louisa Jacobson.

In addition to their immediate family, they also cherish the joy of being grandparents to five little ones. Henry and his wife Tamryn Storm Hawker have two children, while Mamie and her husband Mehar Sethi are parents to two kids.

Grace, their other daughter, recently embraced motherhood, welcoming her first child with her husband, Mark Ronson.
