Speaking on the In the Envelope podcast, the actress said, “I worked my ass off.” At the time, she was also filming The Dropout, which earned her an Emmy.
Despite her efforts, the role went to Ariana Grande. Seyfried said she still values the experience, calling it “life-changing” and saying it helped her grow as a singer and performer.
