Prince William Slammed for “Preaching” Climate Action While Living in Luxury

Prince William has urged world leaders to act with “urgency and purpose” in fighting climate change—but not everyone is impressed.

Speaking during London Climate Action Week on June 26, the Prince of Wales said the world must back Indigenous peoples and scale up real solutions before it’s too late.

He hosted a roundtable at St James’s Palace with global leaders, scientists, and Indigenous representatives.

William warned that time is running out to protect nature and meet climate goals by 2030.

He highlighted his Earthshot Prize and claimed that empowering local communities is key to fixing the crisis.

But online, critics quickly pointed out the irony. Many slammed him for making big speeches while flying private, living in royal estates, and not pushing the UK government hard enough.

Some called it “royal hypocrisy,” saying actions speak louder than words. Others defended him, noting his consistent support for environmental causes and how his platform helps bring attention to urgent issues.

Still, the question remains: can someone from one of the world’s most privileged families truly lead a fight that affects the planet’s poorest first?

Do you think Prince William is helping the planet—or just protecting his public image?
