Caitlyn Jenner “Numb With Shock” as Rumors Swirl Over Sophia Hutchins’ ATV Death

Caitlyn Jenner has finally spoken about the devastating death of her longtime friend and manager, Sophia Hutchins, in what authorities are calling a tragic ATV collision.

Hutchins, 29, lost control of a blue Polaris ATV on Decker Canyon Road near Jenner’s Malibu home, colliding with a car and crashing into a ravine—falling approximately 350 feet—before tumbling onto the roof of an upside-down vehicle.

Responding to reporters during a quiet coffee outing, the 75‑year‑old former Olympic athlete said simply, “I’m going through tough times,” and declined to discuss the accident further.

Los Angeles County deputies suggest speed may have been a contributing factor, noting the ATV likely rear-ended the Mazda before veering off the cliff.

Authorities have not released toxicology results, but there’s no indication of impairment .

The relationship between Jenner and Hutchins began in 2015—when Jenner publicly transitioned—and deepened in 2017, when Hutchins moved into Jenner’s Malibu home and officially became her manager.

They appeared together on the E! series I Am Cait, and Hutchins had also founded the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation as well as her sun-care start-up Lumasol.

Despite frequent rumors, the pair consistently maintained their bond was “very parental” and never romantic.

Hutchins even spoke publicly of their close, protective alliance: “We’re partners in everything we do… business partners… we share a life together.”

Now, fans and media alike are searching for more. Jenner’s terse remark—“tough times”—speaks volumes in its silence.
