The Songs That Saved Her: Lady Gaga Shares Personal Stories Behind the Music That Shaped Her Life

Pop icon Lady Gaga recently sat down with Rolling Stone for their "My Life in 10 Songs" series, and she didn't hold back on the personal details.

Instead of just picking hits, she shared 15 songs that acted as a "warm hug" or a "pump-up" during the hardest moments of her life.

Gaga revealed that when she was being bullied in high school, she would listen to Carole King’s "Tapestry" to feel safe and comforted.

She also shared a sweet memory of her father playing Bruce Springsteen’s "Thunder Road" in their living room, which later inspired the "grit and soul" of her Born This Way era.

The singer also gave credit where it's due, explaining how Carl Bean’s "I Was Born This Way" was the true spark for her own anthem.

From being a "sponge" for music in her youth to finding her own voice as a jazz singer through Dinah Washington, Gaga’s stories remind us that music is a powerful tool for healing and finding out who you really are.

Is there a specific song that feels like a "warm hug" to you when you're having a bad day?
