Lady Gaga Dominates 2020 MTV Video Music Awards


"This has not been an easy year for a lot of people, but what I see in the world is a massive triumph of courage," Gaga said.

Lady Gaga won several awards, including Artist of the Year, at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards held on August 30 at different places throughout New York City.

She also took home the Song of the Year for "Rain on Me," her collaboration with Ariana Grande.

Gaga and Grande, who both wore a mask, staged a performance atop the Empire State Building.

The 34-year-old singer also won the inaugural "Tricon Award," which recognizes artists who have become extremely successful in multiple fields.

"This has not been an easy year for a lot of people, but what I see in the world is a massive triumph of courage," Gaga said.

"Stay safe. Speak your mind and, I might sound like a broken record, but wear a mask. It's a sign of respect."
