Avril Lavigne Announces New Track Titled 'Flames' With rapper Mod Sun

Avril Lavigne and acclaimed rapper Mod Sun will be releasing a new track called 'Flames' on January 8.

The 36-year-old singer announced the great news on her Instagram page, writing: "Flames" with @modsun featuring me January 8th pre save now."



Lavigne immediately trended on Twitter after her announcement. Clearly, her avid fans are very excited about her return to the music scene.

Prior to this announcement, the "Complicated" singer teased new music in the new year, sharing snaps of herself with rappers Machine Gun Kelly and Mod Sun.



"So are we ready for new music in the new year or what? Lemme know," she asked her fans at the time.



Lavigne released her debut album "Let Go" in 2002. The album includes the hit singles "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi." She blazed the way for female-driven, punk-influenced pop music in the early 2000s.
