The 38-year-old rap diva and her husband Kenneth Petty, 42, welcomed their first child on September 30. The new Instagram post, however, was the first time she had ever shared a picture of the boy's face.
Minaj hasn't publicized the baby's name and refers to him only by his nickname "Papa Bear" on Instagram.
In her post, she wrote: "#PapaBear thank you so very much for choosing me to be your mama, wishing you guys a happy & prosperous New Year. Thank you for your love & support throughout this journey."
It is by far the most rewarding job she has ever taken on as a mother, Minaj said, adding, "Sending love to all the superhero mothers out there. Big hugs to all the women who have been pregnant during this challenging time."
Ten days before Halloween 2019, Minaj announced that she is married to Kenneth. In July 2020, she announced via Instagram that she will have her first child.
