Brittney, who publicly came out as a lesbian in 2013, has been imprisoned in a Russian jail for six months.

She's now been convicted of smuggling drugs with criminal intent after the culmination of her trial, where Brittney insisted she carried out the crime intentionally.
As prosecutors argued during closing arguments, Brittney should serve a minimum of 10 years, but her official sentence was nine.
