LeBron James has received criticism for his response to the death of Tyre Nichols, who was killed following a brutal beating by police officers. The Los Angeles Lakers player took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the matter.

In one of his tweets, James retweeted a post from an MSNBC analyst that stated, "What's really clear about some of the reaction to the murder of #TyreNichols is that we've failed to fully understand race and it's construction as a systemic tool. The entire system of policing sees the Black body as a problem. No matter who pulls the trigger."

James replied with the tweet, "TOO FACTUAL." In another tweet, he added, "WE ARE OUR OWN WORSE ENEMY!!!" This statement appeared to refer to the fact that the officers involved in the incident were themselves black.

James' tweets received a negative reaction from fans. One person responded, "He never moved past page 6 in that Malcolm's book." Another fan commented, "You talking about the lakers? Because if you talking about this current situation bruh nah. Wrong time."
