Karine de Souza, a brave Brazilian citizen, has dedicated her entire life to protecting herself from the sun's harmful effects after being diagnosed with Xeroderma Pigmentosum at the tender age of three.

This rare genetic disorder makes her highly photosensitive and prone to skin cancer when exposed to sunlight. As a result of sun damage, Karine has lost a portion of her nose and her lower lip, and she has undergone 130 surgeries to remove lesions.

Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her life, Karine found joy and love with her partner, Edmilson, who discovered her on Facebook and was immediately drawn to her "story and strength."

However, the couple has had to endure verbal harassment and mistreatment from members of their local community and online. Some people have gone as far as calling Karine a "monster" and a "zombie."

But despite the adversity they faced, they persevered and are now proud parents to a beautiful daughter named Zaia. Karine's incredible story has since gone viral online, inspiring millions around the world with her determination, positivity, and unbreakable spirit.

Karine hopes that others can learn from her experiences and adopt a positive outlook on life. She encourages people to be happy and smile, as life is too short to waste.

Karine is a shining example of perseverance and determination, serving as a beacon of hope and inspiration to many. Her story serves as a reminder that despite life's challenges, we can all find joy and love in the most unexpected places.
